OMGOMGOMG!!!!!!!! O.O!
Wow!!! As a Reid fanatic, this was an amazing episode. As an un-partial fan this episode was amazing.
Now, on to my comments!
The people in charge have said in an interview that they are thinking about giving him ((Reid)) a drug problem , and judging by this episode it's quite possible they will. I don't think the story line will go past this season though, the writers will probably use it in the season finale. That way they could send Reid off to rehab at the end of it and have him return in the premier of the third season (thusly placing the summer months between the season's as his rehab time). Given the writing of the show, I also don't think the addiction story would ruin his character. The writers will find a way to make the storyline actually make Reid a more dynamic character, and not with the Elle route. Reid/MGG is to popular and to much of a storyline driver for them to remove him.
On the JJ end, I think (hope) they will expand on what happened. Just because they got Reid back in one peice dosen't mean JJ will be all fine and dandy. I think what happened will haunt her for a bit, like nightmares and such. I just hope they don't jump right into another storyline and ignore what happened.
As for the other characters, I love how they where written and I think it fit all the characters except Gideon. Given Gideon's reaction to things I think he would have gotten furious and more driven to find Reid as opposed to getting all 'I did the right thing' like he did with Elle. As for making Emily 'emotionless' I think it fit her perfectly. I was sooo scared by Hotch's reaction to Reid's "chosing" him. My jaw just dropped when Reid said it. And Morgan was mean to JJ, I mean I can understand he was upset about Reid but he didn't have to take it out on her.
